Tutoring

Tutors provide consistent academic support to help students strengthen subject knowledge, build effective study habits, and stay on track toward their academic goals. Students receive weekly one-on-one tutoring sessions with individualized academic plans tailored to their coursework and learning needs. Tutors provide:

  • Individualized academic support plans based on student coursework and learning goals

  • Weekly one-on-one tutoring sessions across subject areas

  • Support with assignments, exams, and study strategies

  • Academic skill-building workshops to support college success

  • Tools and guidance to help students become independent learners

College Success Advising

College Success Advisors guide and mentor students throughout their college journey, helping them navigate academic, personal, and social challenges while building the skills needed to thrive independently. Each student is paired with a dedicated advisor who develops a personalized plan to strengthen life skills, self-sufficiency, and social development. College Success Advisors provide:

  • Personalized plans to strengthen life skills, self-sufficiency, and social development

  • Guidance on navigating college life, relationships, and personal challenges

  • Workshops on college success, personal growth, and independent living skills

  • Financial literacy education and planning support
  • Referrals to campus and community resources as needed
  • Ongoing mentorship to build self-advocacy and independence

Career Counseling

Career Counselors prepare students for the workforce by:

  • Offering one on one tailored resume and cover letter review
  • Providing monthly workshops and panels with industry professionals
  • Guiding students on career exploration, identification, and development
  • Creating connections between the workforce and our students

Financial Support

Our College Choice Specialists are here to assist students with various degrees of support during their College Choice Program enrollment including:

  • Tuition payments – Including understanding their bursar bill and resolving outstanding balances

  • Housing payments – Including payments to dorms or approved private off campus landlords

How It Works

Apply Online

Students complete the College Choice Program application.

Housing Support

Eligible participants receive tuition assistance, housing, and a daily living stipend through ACS.

Support Services

Students who opt into College Choice Support Services also receive wraparound supports from The Foundling, personalized to meet their unique goals and circumstances

Advising Support

Coaching, tutoring, and career counseling are available in person or remotely, based on each student’s location and needs.
